The GME Advance Course B1 ensures that candidate Can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered at work, school, leisure etc. Can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken. Can produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest. Can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes & ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
END OF SESSION EXPECTATIONS (German Language B1)
- At the end of the section, candidates of B1 CEFR German Level must at least be able to:
- WRITE simple connected texts on topics which are familiar or of personal interest. They must also be able to write detailed letters describing experiences and impressions, and summarizing passages and articles.
- READ and understand texts that consist mainly of high-level grammar and vocabulary regarding the description of events, environment, social, and political write-ups.
- LISTEN and understand the main point of many radio and TV programs on current affairs, historical and professional interest.
- SPEAK and enter unprepared in conversations on topics that are a bit familiar or pertinent to everyday life. (Human relationships, environmental issues, and current events). Also, be able to narrate a story or relate the plot of a book or film.
