The GME Intermediary Course A2 ensures that candidates Can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g., very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment). Can communicate in simple and routine situations requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters. Can describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.
END OF SESSION EXPECTATIONS (German Language A2)
- At the end of the session, candidates of A2 CEFR German Level must at least be able to:
- WRITE descriptive and more detailed letters or passages about relevant topics, as well as make comments about German posts and articles with the most used grammar and vocabulary.
- READ and understand short passages with simple vocabulary, being able to identify the main point in a short text. Also, able to easily understand German road signs, notices, and posters.
- LISTEN and understand the main points of low-level discussions from native speakers, also able to confidently contribute to everyday common discussions like Shopping, traveling, family and friends, work, and other relevant topics.
- SPEAK more confidently in small groups and conversations, being able to describe a situation using simple grammar and vocabulary.
