The ӦsterreichischesSprachdiplom Deutsch ( Ӧsd) exam is recognized internationally as a proof of language competence in German and range from A1 to C2 levels. Ӧsd fosters the concept of German being a polycentric language; thus, representing the standard varieties of the German speaking countries Austria, Switzerland and Germany (DACH countries) are equally represented in the exam.
The ÖSD Exam consists of the four modules Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking. The modules can be taken individually or in combination and certified. If all four modules have been passed on one examination date, an overall certificate will be issued. Likewise, examination participants receive an overall certificate if they have completed and passed the four modules within one year at the same examination center. If individual modules are passed, one module certificate is issued per module.
